"Testimony." Archbishop Carlo Vigano. August 22, 2018, September 29, 2018 and October 19, 2018.

Whether a plague of errors has entered the Catholic Church? I consent to investigate this question, because I think it is true.

The final cause of the plague of errors is confusion. According to Carlo Maria Vigano, a Roman Catholic archbishop and a former papal nuncio to the United States, Bergoglio “exacerbates the crisis by contradictory or perplexing statements.”

For example, on July 9, 2015, Bergoglio said that solidarity “means fighting against the structural causes of poverty.” This is a contradictory statement. Solidarity is not fighting against structures. The term “solidarity” is defined as a “community of interests, objectives, or standards” (Webster's Third New International Dictionary, 1966, p. 2161). A community can work to decrease poverty by encouraging traditional marriages and lowering taxes. Further, on July 13, 2015, Bergolio received a Marxist hammer and sickle figurine from the artist Espinal and said, “Espinal was an enthusiast of this Marxist analysis of reality, but also of a theology that uses Marxism. Under this kind of hermeneutic, I understand this work. For me it wasn’t an offense, but I had to apply this hermeneutic.” This is a perplexing set of statements. It is not complicated to see that a figurine with a hammer and sickle represents Marxist communism which ignored the middle class and a killed 100 million people who got in the way of a fictional future. Bergoglio used the perplexing term “hermeneutic” to hide the fact that he approves of Marxism. Further, Bergoglio contradicts Church doctrine. According to Pope Pius XI, “Communists claim to inaugurate a new era… without God” (Divini Redemptorist, 1937, no. 12). If Bergoglio was honest, then he would stop going to Church and live his life without God. Thus, because some leaders of the Church promote contradictory and perplexing statements, a plague of errors has entered the Catholic Church. St. Peter writes (2 Pet 2: 15), “They have left the straight road and have gone astray.”

The material cause of the plague is error. Vigano writes, “Francis is abdicating the mandate which Christ gave to Peter to confirm the brethren. Indeed, by his action he has divided them, and led them into error.” Error is defined as “an act or condition of often ignorant or imprudent deviation from a code of behavior” (Webster's New Third International Dictionary, 1966, p. 772). Some Church leaders deviate and reject Catholic codes of behavior. For example, the last chapter of the Book of Revelation states (22:15), “Outside [of heaven] are dogs, and drug users, and homosexuals, and murderers, and those who serve idols, and all who love and do what is false.” The code of behavior from the Book of Revelation states that no person who is a sorcerer, unchaste, a murderer, a server of idols, and who loves and makes lies should not go to heaven. Sadly, some Church leaders are pretending to be Catholic and ignore the rule from the Book of Revelation. As a result, the Grand Jury Report writes, “We recognize that victims in these circumstances were understandably disappointed there was no place they could go to be heard.” Victims of the errors and abuse in the Church were ignored and disappointed with Church leaders.

Further, the Catholic Church promoted a code of behavior for priests in 1961. The Instruction on the Careful Selection And Training Of Candidates For The States Of Perfection And Sacred Orders writes, “Advancement to religious vows and ordination should be barred to those who are afflicted with evil tendencies to homosexuality or pederasty, since for them the common life and the priestly ministry would constitute serious dangers” (II, D, 29, 4). The code of behavior from the 1961 Instruction includes the rule that no person with “evil tendencies to homosexuality or pederasty” should be ordained a priest or given solemn vows. Sadly, some Church leaders deviate from this rule from the 1961 Instruction. As a result, most surveys indicate that 20% to 50% of priests are inverted and pederasts.

Further, Canon Law states (227. 2), “Clerics are to behave with due prudence in relation to persons whose company can be a danger to their obligation of preserving continence or can lead to scandal of the faithful.” The code of behavior of Canon Law has the rule that no priest  should keep company with people who can be a danger to chastity and can lead to scandal and settlements. Sadly, some Church leaders ignore this Canon Law and deviate from it. As a result, the Grand Jury Report writes, “We are sick over all the crimes” (40th Statewide, p. 1).

Further, Pope St. Pius V writes, “We establish that any priest or member of the clergy, either secular or regular, who commits such an execrable crime, by force of the present law be deprived of every clerical privilege, of every post, dignity and ecclesiastical benefit, and having been degraded by an ecclesiastical judge, let him be immediately delivered to the secular authority to be put to death.” The code of behavior of Pope Pius V gives the rule that a priest who is guilty of “an execrable” and despicable crime” should be removed from Church authority, be delivered to civil law and “be put to death.” Sadly some Church leaders ignore the code from a Pope and maintain their Church authority and avoid civil law with secrecy and lies. Thus, because some Church leaders deviate from code of behavior from the Book of Revelation, the 1961 Instruction, the Code of Canon Law, and Pope Pius V, a plague of errors has entered the Catholic Church.  St. Jude writes (1: 18), “There will be mockers who walk after their own ungodly lusts.”

The formal causes of the plague of error are two: secrecy and lies. Vigano writes, “These… networks… act under the concealment of secrecy and lies.” Secrecy is defines as “the habit of keeping secrets or maintaining privacy or concealment” (Webster's New Third International Dictionary, 1966, p. 2025). Some Church leaders maintain privacy and conceal crimes by Cardinals, Bishops and priests. According to the Grand Jury Report in 2018, “We spent 24 months dredging up the most depraved behavior, only to find that the laws protect most of its perpetrators, and leave its victims with nothing” (40th Statewide, p. 7). Church leaders keep secrets and hide depraved behavior. Further, the Grand Jury Report writes, “The public was never supposed to know” (40th Statewide, p. 302).

Further, a lie is defined as “a deliberate misrepresenting of fact with intent to deceive” (Webster's New Third International Dictionary, 1966, p. 1305). Vigano writes, “Cardinal McCarrick lies shamelessly and prevails upon his Chancellor, Monsignor Antonicelli, to lie as well.” Some Church leaders tell lies and encourage others to tell lies. According to the Grand Jury Report, Father William Presley “is a violent man. He managed to work his will and way by fear, intimidation, charm and deception, all the classic signs of a hard core predator. How he managed to escape for so many years defies reason and understanding” (40th Statewide, p. 88). Predators and perpetrators escape punishment, because some Church leaders hide criminals with lies. Thus, because some Church leaders keep secrets from the police and tell lies to parishioners, a plague of errors has entered the Catholic Church. St. Jude writes (1: 16), “These people grumble and complain and live by their own selfish desires. They brag about themselves and flatter others to get what they want.”

The principal agent primarily responsible for the plague of errors in the Catholic Church is Theodore McCarrick (1930-2025). Vigano writes, Bergoglio “made McCarrick one of his principal agents in governing the Church, in regard to the United States, the Curia, and even China.” McCarrick was pederast and a predator. On January 11, 2019, the Vatican Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith states, “At the conclusion of a penal process, issued a decree finding Theodore Edgar McCarrick, archbishop emeritus of Washington, D.C., guilty of the following delicts while a cleric: solicitation in the Sacrament of Confession, and sins against the Sixth Commandment with minors and with adults, with the aggravating factor of the abuse of power.” Further, a former altar boy remembers McCarrick taking advantage of him in 1982 and said, “Let’s not tell anybody about this.” Further, Vigano writes, “It was also clear that, from the time of Pope Francis’s election, McCarrick, now free from all constraints.” Bergoglio allowed McCarrick to lead the Church and continue his “licentious ways” (2 Pet 2: 2). Thus, because a church leader like McCarrick made contradictory and perplexing statements, deviated from a Catholic code of behavior, concealed violent predators, intended to deceive parishioners, and promoted destructive heresies, a plague of errors has entered the Catholic Church. St. Peter writes (2 Pet 2: 15), “They have left the straight road and have gone astray, following the road of Balaam son of Bosor, who loved the wages of doing wrong.”

Three preparing agents are arranging the plague of errors in the Catholic Church: Sodano, Bertone, and Parolin. The first preparing agent is Cardinal Angelo Sodano (1927-2022) who was the Secretary of State and served Pope John Paul II and Pope Benedict XVI from 1990 to 2006. Vigano writes, “Sodano tried to cover up the Father Maciel scandal to the end.” Sodano absolutely defended a church leader who “loved the wages of doing wrong” (2 Pet 2: 15). Further, Sodano promoted McCarrick to become the Cardinal of Washington, D. C. Vigano writes, “McCarrick’s appointment to Washington and as Cardinal [was] the work of Sodano.” Sodano encouraged a man who broke the Sixth Commandment with minors and lied shamelessly.

The second preparing agent is Tarciscio Bertone who served as Cardinal Secretary of State from 2006 to 2013 and performed all the political functions of the Vatican. Vigano writes, “The Cardinal [Bertone] had no difficulty in insistently presenting for the episcopate candidates known to be active homosexuals — I cite only the well-known case of Vincenzo de Mauro, who was appointed Archbishop-Bishop of Vigevano and later removed because he was undermining his seminarians.” Bertone promoted church leaders who deviated from the code of conduct and “followed their licentious ways” (2 Pet 2: 2).

The third preparing agent is Pietro Parolin who has served as the Cardinal Secretary of State since 2013. Vigano writes, “I wrote to Cardinal Parolin asking him if the sanctions imposed on McCarrick by Pope Benedict were still valid. Ça va sans dire that my letter never received any reply!” Paroline concealed the crimes of McCarrick and maintained his privacy. Thus, because three Secretary of States, Sodano, Bretone and Parolin, promoted clergy members who “have gone astray” and “love the wages of sin” (2 Pet 2: 15), a plague of errors has entered the Catholic Church. Pope Pius V writes, “The Fifth Lateran Council [1512-1517] issued this decree: "Let any member of the clergy caught in that vice against nature, given that the wrath of God falls over the sons of perfidy, be removed from the clerical order” (Constitutionem Horrendum illud scelus, 1568).

There are three assisting agents helping to increase the network of errors: Mahony, Wuerl and Cupich. The first assisting agent is Roger Mahoney who was the Cardinal of Los Angeles from 1985 to 2011. Vigano writes, “Cardinals such as Mahony and Wuerl were closely linked to McCarrick.” Mahony was encouraged by the predator McCarrick and assisted with the privacy and concealment of the “sons of perfidy” (Pope Pius V, Horrendum). According to the Corpus Christi For Unity and Peace, “21 certified abuse claims in Los Angeles Superior Court (JCCP5101) name Mahony as the actual perpetrator of rape, forced oral copulation, and abuse of mostly immigrant teenage boys — claims that were buried in a $880 million settlement to avoid trial.” The Archdiocese of Los Angeles paid $880 million to settle abuse cases. On February 19, 2014, a lawyer said that Mahoney has “a long pattern of concealment of these crimes, aiding and abetting these crimes, the obstruction of justice, and the destruction of evidence; the concealment of offenders from law enforcement, and the deception to parishioners, the public, the police.” St. Peter writes (2 Pet 2: 19), “They themselves are slaves of corruption.”

The second assisting agent supporting the network of secrecy and lies is Donald Wuerl who was the Archbishop of Washington, D.C., from 2006 to 2018. According to Vigano, Wuerl stated “that he knew nothing about the McCarrick crimes, even though he cunningly referred to compensation for the two victims.” Wuerl concealed his knowledge of imprudent behaviors. Further, Wuerl made a perplexing comment about abuse cases. Further, Vigano writes, Wuerl invited “young aspirants to the priesthood to a meeting with McCarrick!” Wuerl encouraged seminarians to leave “the straight road” (2 Pet 2:15) and to break the Catholic code of behavior. St. Peter writes (2 Pet 2: 18), “With licentious desires of the flesh they entice people.”

The third assisting agent favoring the network of confusion is Blase Cupich who has been the Cardinal of Chicago since 2014. Vigano writes, Cupich “asserted that the main problem in the crisis of sexual abuse by clergy is not homosexuality” Cupich contradicts the conclusions of honest research. According to Vigano, “Father Hans Zollner, S.J., Vice-Rector of the Pontifical Gregorian University, President of the Centre for Child Protection, and Member of the Pontifical Commission for the Protection of Minors, recently told the newspaper La Stampa that ‘in most cases it is a question of homosexual abuse.’” Cupich lies about the plague of errors in the Catholic Church. Thus, because Mahony “has a long pattern of concealment of crimes,” Wuerl encouraged seminarians to leave “the straight road” (2 Pet 2:15), and Cupich contradicts the conclusions of honest research, a plague of errors has entered the Catholic Church. St. Peter writes (2 Pet 2: 14), “They have hearts trained in greed. Accursed children!”

The instrumental agent of the network of errors is power. Vigano writes, “Bishops and priests, abusing their authority, have committed horrendous crimes to the detriment of their faithful.” Power is defined as “the ability to compel obedience” (Webster’s Third New International Dictionary, 1966, p. 1778).  Some Church leaders have used their power to make money and abuse children. Vigano writes, “Abusing their authority,” some Church leaders “have committed horrendous crimes to the detriment of their faithful, minors, innocent victims, and young men eager to offer their lives to the Church.” Thus, because some Church leaders used power and abused their authority to commit crimes against minors and seminarians, a plague of errors has entered the Catholic Church. St. Jude writes (1. 11), “Woe unto them! for they have… ran greedily after the error.”

The counseling agent, Vigano, has four pieces of advice. First, Vigano counsels the Pope and writes, the “Pope must be the first to set a good example for cardinals and bishops who covered up abuses and resign along with all of them.” Since the Pope has concealed crimes and “covered up abuses,” and since “the corruption has reached the very top of the Church’s hierarchy” (Vigano), the Pope should resign and step down.

Second, Vigano counsels Church leaders and writes, “I willingly accept every fraternal correction, advice, recommendation, and invitation to progress in my life of faith and love for Christ, the Church and the pope.” Every Church leader should “accept every fraternal correction” in order to grow in the love and appreciation of “Christ, the Church and the pope.” St. Peter writes (2 Pet 1: 10), “Brothers, be all the more diligent to confirm your calling.”

Third, Vigano warns all the members of the network of errors and says, “You can choose to withdraw from the battle, to prop up the conspiracy of silence and avert your eyes from the spreading of corruption.  You can make excuses, compromises and justification that put off the day of reckoning.” Every Church leader must stop contradicting innocent victims, stop promoting the failed Marxist Communism that only promises a fake future, stop promoting deviants, and start admitting that inversion is a form of mental illness in order to clean house. Our Lady of Fatima said (May 13, 1917), “People must stop offending God, because He is already too much offended.”

Fourth, Vigano urges all victims of clergy abuse to call the police. Vigano writes, “I implore everyone, especially Bishops, to speak up in order to defeat this conspiracy of silence that is so widespread, and to report the cases of abuse they know about to the media and civil authorities.” Police and lawyers across the country and around the world are fully aware of the network of errors and secrecy in the Catholic Church. “Now we know the truth: it happened everywhere” (40th Statewide, p. 1). Thus, because some Church leaders “covered up abuses,” rejected “fraternal correction,” contradicted innocent victims, and failed “to defeat this conspiracy of silence,” a plague of errors has entered the Catholic Church. St Jude writes (1: 4), “Ungodly men turn the grace of our God into lasciviousness.”

Induction is arriving at a conclusion from observations. Vigano writes, “It is well established that homosexual predators exploit clerical privilege to their advantage.” The plague of error is fueled by “luxuriam” – “lasciviousness” (St. Jude, 1: 4), “desideriis carnis” – “licentious desires” (St. Peter, 2 Pet 2: 18), and “incontinentia quae contra naturam est” – “that vice against nature” (St. Pius V, Horrendum, 1568). These lead to other crimes. The Grand Jury Report writes, “Members of the clergy likely did and still do take part in a variety of crimes — included but not limited to embezzlement, money laundering, and multiple forms of trafficking” (40th Statewide, p. 321). Thus, because some Church leaders exploited innocent victims and “ran greedily after the error” (St. Jude, 1: 11), a plague of errors has entered the Catholic Church. The Book of Genesis writes (19: 12), “The two angels said to Lot, ‘The Lord has heard many terrible things about the people of Sodom, and he has sent us here to destroy the city.’”

History show how the network of secrecy maintained their privacy for many years. Vigano writes, “In November 2000 the U.S. nuncio Montalvo informed” the Pope about McCarrick’s abuse of minors. Then “in December 2006 the new U.S. nuncio Sambi informed” the Pope about McCarrick’s licentious ways. Then “in December 2006 I wrote a memo to the Secretary of State Bertone… calling for the pope to bring extraordinary disciplinary measures against McCarrick to forestall future crimes.” But “This memo received no response,” because of secrecy. Then “in April 2008 an open letter to Pope Benedict XVI by Richard Sipe was relayed… to Cardinal Bertone containing accusations of McCarrick sleeping with seminarians and priests.” Then “in May 2008 I delivered a memo to the Substitute for General Affairs reporting claims agains McCarrick and calling for sanctions against him. This memo received no response,” because of shame and secrecy. Then “in 2009 Pope Benedict XVI had ordered McCarrick to cease public ministry.” Vigano says, “The nuncio Sambi communicated the Pope’s order to McCarrick in a voice heard down the corridor of the nunciature.” Yelling is one way to break through the wall of secrecy. Then “in June 2013 I met Pope Francis face-to-face and told him that Pope Benedict XVI confined McCarrick to a life of prayer and penance.” Pope Francis then gave McCarrick “special regard” and “was given new responsibilities and missions by him.” Thus, because some Church leaders covered up scandals, encouraged men to break the Sixth Commandment with minors, promoted church leaders who “followed their licentious ways” (2 Pet 2: 2), supported clergy members who “love the wages of sin” (2 Pet 2: 15), concealed the “sons of perfidy” (Pope Pius V, Horrendum), helped seminarians to leave “the straight road” (2 Pet 2:15), abused their power and authority, maintained privacy about the abuse of minors, rejected "fraternal correction" (Vigano), strengthened the network of secrecy, and protected clergy who take part in a variety of crimes, a plague of error has entered the Catholic Church. St. Peter writes (2 Pet 2: 6), “By turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah to ashes He condemned them to extinction and made them an example of what is coming to the ungodly.”

The term “omertà” is analogous to the plague of errors in the Catholic Church. According to Neil Brown, “Omertà is defined as a rule or code that prohibits speaking or divulging information about certain activities, especially the activities of a criminal organization” (Road Cycling dot com, 11/6/2012). Riders in the Tour de France were guilty of doping and maintained secrecy and privacy. Similarly, according to Leo A. I., “Mafia members maintain secrecy primarily through omertà, a strict code of silence that forbids cooperation with law enforcement under threat of death.” If a Mafia member confesses to the truth about crimes, then he might be killed. Similarly, some Church leaders break the Sixth Commandment with minors and then keep secrets, maintain privacy, forbids cooperation with law enforcement, and say, “Let’s not tell anybody about this.” Thus, because some Church leaders force Catholics to have omertà, a plague of errors has entered the Catholic Church.

We can use this analogy of omertà and understand how to prevent the spread of the plague of errors. According to Neil Brown, “The final steps in removing omertà completely will come from the younger generation of riders. To them institutionalized doping will no longer be the norm but rather the exception” (Road Cycling dot com, 11/6/2012). Professional cyclists are preventing the spread of doping by rejecting performance enhancing drugs. Similarly, according to Leo A. I., “The American Mafia was significantly decimated primarily through federal legal interventions and internal betrayals.” Citizens stop the spread of the Mafia by arresting Mafia members and allowing Members to confess to the truth. Similarly, Vigano writes, “This very grave crisis cannot be properly addressed and resolved unless and until we call things by their true names. It is no exaggeration to say that homosexuality has become a plague in the clergy, and it can only be eradicated with spiritual weapons.” Catholics can stop the spread of errors by calling the error by its true name, “luxuriam” – “lasciviousness” (St. Jude, 1: 4), “desideriis carnis” – “licentious desires” (St. Peter, 2 Pet 2: 18), and “incontinentia quae contra naturam est” – “that vice against nature” (St. Pius V, Horrendum, 1568). Further, Catholics can prevent the spread of errors by using “spiritual weapons,” such as weekly Latin masses, daily rosaries and monthly confessions. Three weapons used by all Catholic will destroy the errors. St. Peter writes (2 Pet 2: 20), Catholics can “escape the defilements of the world through the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.”

A sign that a plague of errors has entered the Catholic Church is the number of four billion. The Grand Jury Report, “U. S. Catholic Churches had paid nearly $4 billion to settle decades of lawsuits. In 2014, the Vatican reported that during the previous decade it defrocked about 850 priests who molested chidden and sanctioned 2,500 priests worldwide” (40th Statewide, p. 320). The plague of error has cost the Catholic Church four billion dollars. St. Pius V writes, “That horrible crime, on account of which corrupt and obscene cities were destroyed by fire through divine condemnation, causes us most bitter sorrow and shocks our mind” (Horrendum, 1568). The lasciviousness of some Church leaders had wasted money, caused bitter sorrow and shocks normal Catholics. The Grand Jury Report is not a pleasant document to read. Thus, because some Church leaders spent millions of dollars on a horrible crime, a plague of error has entered the Catholic Church. St. Peter writes (2 Pet 2: 15), “They have left the straight road and… loved the wages of doing wrong.”

The motive for Vigano’s “Testimony” is a desire to protect the Church. Vigano writes, “I chose to speak in order to protect the Church.” Catholics in America have built numerous churches, schools, universities and hospitals. According to a person in law enforcement, “It is probable that much if not all of the Church’s financial assets within at least the US would be frozen. It's also possible that the Church’s physical assets could be seized.” All the money and property in the Catholic Church in America can be taken away as a result of large sex abuse settlements. According to Brave’s Leo, “Catholic dioceses have frequently sold church property, including real estate, investment funds, and other assets, to finance massive settlements and bankruptcy proceedings related to clergy sexual abuse.” Many Catholics in America have experiences “bitter sorrows and shock” (St. Pius V, Horrendum, 1568). Thus, because some Church leaders have failed to protect Catholics and their assets, a plague of error has entered the Catholic Church. St. Jude writes (1: 7), “Sodom and Gomorrha, and the neighbouring cities, in like manner, having given themselves to fornication, and going after other flesh, were made an example, suffering the punishment of eternal fire.”

The passions trigged by the plague of errors are numerous. The primary passions include love, for Vigano has a “love for Christ, the Church and the pope;” desire, for Vigano desired “conditions and restrictions" be given to McCarrick; and joy, for Vigano writes how “the Spirit sustains me with joy.” He was disgusted by the “gravity and vileness” of the crimes of McCarrick as described by Fr. Littleton to the police in June 2006. And he is sad about “the enormity of what is happening.” The secondary passions include hope, for Archbishop Vigano encourages loyal Catholics to “not lose hope! We well know that the great majority of our pastors live their priestly vocation with fidelity and dedication;” fear, for we should “fear Him who can cast body and soul into hell;” and courage, for “we must have the courage to tear down the culture of secrecy.” Thus, because some leaders of the Catholic Church do not love Christ, do not desire restrictions, do not feel the joy of the Spirit, commit disgusting crimes, do not fear the Lord and His Judgment Day, and lack the courage to break the secrecy, a plague of errors has entered the Church. St. Thomas Aquinas writes, “As idolatry became more widespread, these vices grew” (Romans 8, no. 152).

The percentage of Church leaders who are taken into custody of law enforcement is small. The Grand Jury Report writes, “We are not satisfied by the few charges we can bring, which represent only a tiny percentage of all the child abusers we saw. We are sick over all the crimes that will go unpunished and uncompensated.” The few charges of a tiny percentage of clergy abusers cost the Catholic Church four billion dollars. Charging a much higher percentage of clergy abusers would bankrupt the Church and transfer all Church property to the Federal Government. Thus, because some Church leaders encourage child abuse and remain unpunished, a plague of errors has entered the Catholic Church. St. Pius V writes, “Obscene cities were destroyed by fire through divine condemnation” (Horrendum, 1568).

I shall now use my freedom to review the above investigation and pick my two favorite reasons to support the thesis that a plague of errors has entered the Church.

I shall now use my freedom to make a decision. I prefer the assisting agent cause and the induction.

I shall now use my freedom to make a clear command. A plague of errors has entered the Catholic Church, because some Church leaders “are slaves of corruption” (2. Pet 2: 19), and because some Church leaders “did and still do take part in a variety of crimes — included but not limited to embezzlement, money laundering, and multiple forms of trafficking” (40th Statewide, p. 321).

There are four objections to the conclusion that a plague of errors are caused by “lasciviousness” (St. Jude, 1: 4), “licentious desires” (St. Peter, 2 Pet 2: 18), and “that vice against nature” (St. Pius V, Horrendum, 1568). The first objection says that the plague of error inside the Catholic Church is caused by clericalism. According to Cupich, “The main problem in the crisis of sexual abuse by clergy is not homosexuality, and … the real problem is clericalism” (Vigano). The response to the first objection is to state that clericalism is defined as “a policy that attempts to maintain the temporary power of a church or a religious hierarchy” (Webster's Third New International Dictionary, 1966, p. 421). There are no codes of behavior about “maintaining temporary power” in the Book of Revelation, Pope Pius V’s “Horrendum” in 1568, the Code of Canon law, or in the 1961 Instruction. The Book of Revelation has a code of behavior about homosexuality (22: 15), Pope Pius V has a code of behavior about homosexuality in the “Horrendum” sin 1568, the Code of Canon law has a code of behavior for celibacy in 227. 2, and the 1961 Instruction (II, D, 29, 4) has a code of behavior for pederasty and the abuse of minors. Thus, a plague of errors has entered the Catholic Church and the errors are mistakes in celibacy and not mistakes in clerical administration. Vigano writes, “To claim the crisis itself to be clericalism is pure sophistry.”

The second objection states that the plague of errors is caused by calumny. Cardinal Ouellet stated on October 7, 2018, “Public accusations seriously damage the reputation of the Successors of the Apostles” (tinyurl.com/5dbbrvf6). Publicly blaming some Church leaders of licentious desires and a variety of crimes damages the reputation of Church leaders and errors. The response to the second objection is to state that the Grand Jury Report did not discover numerous cases of calumny. According to the Grand Jury Report, “We subpoenaed, and reviewed, half a million pages of internal diocesan documents. They contained credible allegations against over three hundred predator priests” (40th Statewide, p. 1). Calumny and destroying a Bishop’s reputation is wrong. However, pederasty and breaking the Sixth Commandment with minors three hundred times is evil. The Lord Jesus states (Mt 18: 6), “If you cause one of these little ones who trusts in me to fall into sin, it would be better for you to have a large millstone tied around your neck and be drowned in the depths of the sea.”

The third objection is to state that Bergoglio is an ethical leader in the Church. Ouellet addressed Vigano and said, “Dear Viganò, This injustice [of calumny should] be quickly repaired so that Pope Francis might continue to be recognized for who he is: an eminent pastor, a compassionate and firm father, a prophetic charism for the Church and for the world.” According to Ouellet, Vigano’s Testimony damaged the reputation of Bergoglio and caused a plague of error in the Catholic Church. The response to the third objection is to quote Vigano who said, “Your Eminence, you have at your complete disposal key documents incriminating McCarrick and many in the curia for their cover-ups.” Ouellet has all the facts about the crimes of McCarrick and some Church leaders in a file that he is keeping secretly. Further, Bergoglio is not a compassionate father, a firm father, a prophet for the Church and the world. Bergoglio received a Marxist figure with a hammer and sickle and said, “For me it wasn’t an offense, but I had to apply this hermeneutic” (July 13, 2015). However, Bergoglio had no compassion for the 100 million victims of communism. Further, Bergoglio said, “We are called to find Christ in them, to lend our voice to their causes, but also to be their friends, to listen to them” (Apostolic exhortation Evangelii Gaudium, no. 198). However, Bergoglio was not friends with victims of clerical abuse and did not listen to Catholics who want the Traditional Latin mass. Further, Bergoglio was not firm with McCarrick who was promoted while breaking the Sixth Commandment with minors. Vigano writes, “Your Eminence, I urge you to bear witness to the truth.”

The fourth objection is to state that Bergoglio did not promote criminals. Ouellet stated on October 7, 2o18 that “To accuse Pope Francis of having covered-up knowingly the case of an alleged sexual predator… appears to me from all viewpoints unbelievable and without any foundation.” According to this objections, it is wrong to blame Bergoglio for secretly hiding crime reports and for telling lies about the Grand Jury Report. The response to objection four is to quote Vigano who said, “The Holy See was aware of a variety of concrete facts.” Bergoglio knew McCarrick was a pederast and Bergoglio still elevated McCarrick’s position the Church hierarchy.

Final remarks. The plague of errors in the Catholic Church along with the “omertà,” secrecy, lies, and a Grand Jury Report of a variety of crimes has turned the Church into group of offenders. According to an official in law enforcement, “It's important that everyone understand that the Catholic Church is now being investigated as a criminal organization on the federal level.”
